I am currently at capacity for clients through October 2019.
Birth Doula Services Fee - $800
Please be aware that I am working on certification through DONA International and I may ask if you are willing to complete an evaluation about your experience. My rates have changed as of 6/10/2019. If you have contracted with me prior to this date, then you will be grandfathered in for my previous rate.
First and foremost, my role as a doula on your support team is to be present and to support the decisions you make. I strongly encourage my clients to seek as much quality education as they can regarding the process of labor and birth. Preparing a birth plan may seem like a daunting task, but planning and embracing the realities of labor and birth will go a long way!
What is included in my fee?
Prenatal Visits: Up to three (3) prenatal visits.
The first two visits are great opportunities to work on your labor and childbirth education, discuss your birth plan, and workshop it so that it suits your preferences. These prenatal visits are no substitute for childbirth education classes taught by a reputable and qualified instructor; rather, they should complement what you learn in order to help you feel more prepared.
The third prenatal visit is best reserved for the homestretch of your pregnancy. We will practice different comfort measures (using the peanut ball, rebozo, massage, and breathing techniques), as well as discussing any other topics that might be on your mind as the big day looms!
Motherboard Membership: I offer a free membership ($50 value) to Motherboard, a beautiful and easy to use platform for organizing the preferences for your birth plan. It’s an amazingly easy-to-use tool for us collaborate with, plus - hospital staff LOVE how clear and straightforward it is to read!
Support during Membrane Stripping or External Cephalic Version (ECV) for a Breech Position: In addition to my prenatal visits geared towards planning, I am available to join you at your doctor’s appointment to support you through Membrane Stripping or a Version if you choose to try these at the end of your pregnancy.
24/7 On-call Support: I am reachable around the clock when it is time for you to go into labor and to coordinate my arrival at your home if a home birth is planned.
Labor & Birth: I remain present with you for the entire duration of your active labor and birth with the exception of necessary breaks to hydrate, eat, and use the bathroom.
Cesarean Birth: For a planned or unexpected cesarean, I will support you in the Operating Room.
Postpartum: Once baby has arrived, I will stay with you for up to one (1) hour.
Home Visit: And finally, 12-13 days later, I provide one (1) postpartum home visit to check in on you and baby.
